By sharing our story, our foundation’s heart is to provide support, advocacy and awareness for organ donation. Organ donation can have a profound impact on not just a recipient, but donors and communities as well. We strive to be that lifeline of support for those in need.
After suffering a fatal fall in the firehouse on December 12, 2022, FDNY Firefighter Billy Moon answered his last alarm on December 20, 2022 with the gift of organ donation, a topic he felt very strongly about.
He saved the lives of five others simply by being an organ donor.
The Billy Moon Foundation was created to honor this final act of selflessness, by commemorating his legacy, advocate and build awareness around organ donation, supporting those in the process, and paying it forward to our communities.
